Sidney Stringer Academy

I am currently Assistant Head for Business and ICT at Sidney Stringer Academy where I am overall responsible for the standards and achievement of pupils studying a variety of courses in ICT, Computing, Business, Economics and Law. I have led, supported and delivered over 20 different courses and have a positive approach to managing change successfully.

Throughout my career so far I have worked alongside exam boards and across Coventry to support the development of new courses and creating materials that support and challenge students. We have just had our first cohort complete the Computing GCSE with 25% A*-A and have redesigned our year 7 lessons in order to meet the new Computing National Curriculum.

I have experience of mentoring new staff including trainees and NQT’s and believe in the ethos of leading by example ensuring the teaching and learning within my classroom is no less than outstanding. I am able to build effective relationships and have led the ICT/Computing subject leaders meetings offering advice and providing an avenue for sharing resources and collaboration.
